Sikh Naujawan Academy Gurmat Camps 2008!!

Its time again for the annual summer Sikh Naujawan Academy Gurmat Camps. This year again two fun filled camps will be held in South Birmingham and West Bromwich.  Click for App Form

The South Birmingham Gurmat Camp will be held between the 3rd-8th August 2008 at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Showell Green Lane, South Birmingham.
When: 3 Aug to 8 Aug 2008
Where: Guru Nanak Gurdwara.
Accomadation will be provided to campers for overnight stay at the South Birmingham Camp only!!

The West Bromwich Gurmat Camp will be held between the 17th-22nd August 2008 at Guru Har Rai Gurdwara, High Street, West Bromwich.

Note: No overnight stay.

This is in support of Sarika Singh, a 14 year old girl who has been excluded from school for wearing a religious bangle.
Aberdare Girls School in Wales has excluded the pupil for refusing to remove her bangle as it says it has a strict policy on jewellery which only allows pupils to wear a watch and stud earrings.

The bangle is a fundamental part of the sikh religion. It is not a piece of jewellery but it is an article of faith and expression of religious belief.
